In the above verse, James the apostle is encouraging all of us to replicate God`s word through our actions and our way of life. He is stressing on the importance of doing God`s word and not just hearing it. Contrary to what we may think, an obedient heart is very easy to obtain .Obedience comes effortlessly to those who love God as God`s love makes everything possible.
Love is the key to an obedient heart. Obedience comes naturally to us when we love someone. We obey our parents because we love them. Students obey their teachers because they adore them. Therefore obeying God should be a cakewalk for those who love and adore Him.
Jesus took away our sins by laying down His life for us and that was the magnitude of His love for us. The best thing that we can do as His children is obey Him with all our hearts. . Nothing pleases a parent more than an obedient child and nothing pleases our Lord more than an obedient heart.Lets make it a practice from today to follow His word and obey Him in all that we do as our hearts belong to Him and Him alone.
