How to get a product key for Microsoft Office? ›

It is essential to find the Microsoft Office product key for reinstalling or activating your software. You can quickly get it by checking your email or signing into your Microsoft account. If you have a physical copy, the product key is usually found in the packaging or on a card inside the box.

You'll receive a product key if you buy a one-time purchase Office or individual Office apps, but you won't need or receive a product key for Microsoft 365.
